this is a poem in which a orphan asks a man to which community he belongs to. |
| Whom Do I Belong To... Whom do I belong to, asked me a small boy, whom do I belong to, asked me he. What should I answer Him, can anybody say me. Am I a Hindu, or a Christian, or a muslim, or neither of them. And what shall I tell him, can anybody say me! what is the answer I shall give him, for he asks me the same thing. Can anybody tell me, instead of fighting for thy religion, find me an answer. for he asks me, Whom do I belong to? I understand him, he has neither religion nor caste, How lucky is he, When he asks me, Whom do I belong to? |
