HANDS FOR HIRE

Written for Lexi's Poetry Challenge using one of her Title Prompts

HANDS FOR HIRE

Who will take these old hands
and put them to work again?
Who will give another chance
to a grandmother out to win?

All my life I've used these hands
to earn my daily bread and so
I'm not about to give up on trying
long as I have some get up and go!

Necessity has proved its point
and it is work that I now desire.
I have to try to make ends meet,
once again, I've got hands for hire.
