Elusive Word

Sometimes just trying to find the right word can be the hardest thing to do.

ELUSIVE WORD

Whispers of my imagination
quick as a hummingbirds kiss
trying to capture a complete thought
which is subtle as a serpents hiss,

Looking and searching
just trying to find
that certain word or phrase
that will help to ease my mind,

then softly as on a gentle breeze
the whispers become a tease
clouds clear from this troubled mind
so that elusive word I now can find.
