Free Once More

Like a bird, in a cage
I flutter about desperately
Wings, smashing against the bars
As I attempt to break free

The cage is actually open
No one shut the door
I could easily escape
But I struggle all the more

It's almost like I enjoy this cage
Teasing myself with what's outside
But convinced I will be here forever
With my freedom eternally denied

Fly away, you silly girl
Why stay inside this place
Allow yourself to escape
Wonderful freedom to embrace

Don't allow yourself to remain
Fly high...continue to soar
Keep flying far from here
Break free once more!
