Abandoned on a desert beach searching for love.
|The sea heaves; my body bleeds
on a bay of reeds.
Salty, cracked lips whisper weak
Where are the ships?
Abandoned on land, this castaway heart
reaches out a hand.
A cruel sun burns pale skin now red
and begins to shed.
Dutiful tides return; my body still pleads
for one who’ll yearn.
Where is my love? whispered weak
to anyone up above...
The sea heaves;
my body cedes.
Is there no one who needs
my castaway heart?
