Cherish this heart with every breath

If cast aside, this proffered gift

This love will restore its balance somehow
Content to protect, nurturing growth
Unveiling commitment, inspiring troth

Youth hinders freedom to seek out your dreams
Time’s your refining fire it seems
One day you’ll look and reflect on the past
Discerning your need for experiences vast

Just don’t try to rush in your journey ahead
Take comfort in the wisdom earned instead
Respect each other in body and soul
