Message to my baby – a prayer

Never expected as it was unexpected
the announcement of your presence
stunned us both, we were speechless
I feel you move, you’re pretty active,
in a prayer I thank God for you
my small gift, from Heaven.

Controls and ultrasounds made visible
that nothing is wrong, as far as the
doctors could see and hear, I’m glad
but I knew that in my heart already
God takes care of you inside of me
my small gift, from Heaven.

Preparing things for your arrival
I also found my muse to write
others worry about our well-being
I thank the Lord, we do all right
and I am happy expecting you
my small gift from Heaven.

Thank You for the unexpected
for the baby, yet unseen
but felt by its activity already
in Your care we’ll do well together
with this prayer I thank You Lord
for my small gift, from Heaven.
