Writers block is a most wretched thing,
For it makes it impossible to write anything.
You write down a useless phrase after phrase...
Soon your paper is filled (and this goes on for days).

'Till you think up a thought, one so unbelievably bright
That you almost had to shield your eyes from the light.
You scribble it down, as hastily as you can,
And you stand up and shout: “I...AM...THE...MAN!”

For you have a perfect poem, one so original and new
One that is short-ish and funny-ish, bold and quite true.
One of a phrase that writers everywhere hate to hear...
