From Gray to Light

After so long of being trapped in the wastelands of broken love...a light shines

My vision was clouded in shades of gray.
Everything was dismal and dim.
But then along you came,
and filled my heart to the brim.

The dreariness is receeding
into the shadows of the night.
Somewhere along the way,
I'd forgotten that life could be this bright.

It's been so long since I've seen such colors.
I tremble...
I quake...
and every night I pray
