People always leave

kinda dark

People stay for awhile,
smiling and nodding at things I say,
Is getting to know them worthwhile?
Could it be different today?

I talk and they hear me,
but do they really care?
I have no guarantee,
should I beware?

For things to come,
they are unknown,
am I being dumb,
maybe just tired of being alone.
