Poem about the effects of deforestation
Open your eyes

The world will fall
Beyond our reach
We’ll ruin it forever
No heart shall beat

Let’s open our eyes, murderous man
Watch our fires blaze across the land
Mighty giants crash to our feet
As smoke rises, increasing the heat

Monkey in the tree, mummy went for snacks
Mummy went to work and never came back
Mummy’s been hunted, shot for man’s money
I don’t understand, man finds in funny
Alone in the tree, beneath the dim moon
Not to worry baby it will be over soon
Always trust in man, we’re here to cut it down
You’ll die at once when you hit the hard ground.
Another one down, not many to go
We’ve murdered them all, don’t you know?
Open your eyes, see what we’ve done
If to you it’s a game, look how you’ve won
The forests burn brightly before our blind eyes
The trees have gone, the animals have died
Its all our fault we’ve taken the land
The wild no longer exists, all because of man.
Man cant see it, man is blind
We’ve destroyed their lives
Aren’t we kind

The world will fall
Beyond our reach
We’ll ruin it forever
No heart shall beat
