It's hard to do what your heart tells you to do.
Running low,
on words and time.
To say what I need,
and thus define,
what we are,
if love is blind.

Love may be absent,
but vision still faded.
Lines can be blurred,
when left unstated.

Questionably certain,
lines have been crossed.
Etched into concrete,
sincerity lost.

Friendship is fainting,
patient and waiting.
For eyes to be opened,
and mouths to be stating.

Restraining emotion,
for fear of commotion,
so lingering in silence,
and secret devotion.
