A poem I wrote a little while ago. I was kind of depressed when I wrote it.
From shattered dreams did I rise,
Facing now my demise.
All this scrutiny
Has caused the fall of my humanity.
Never again shall I try,
I’d rather just pass her by.
Easier said than done, I know,
But no more emotion shall I show.
No more chance to grow colder,
I have already fallen like a boulder.
I may have taken it too hard,
But now my heart lies in shards.
Climbed high did I,
As I reached up toward the sky.
Took a leap of faith with a smile,
Only to miss the ledge by a mile.
Into the abyss I now fall,
No hope to be saved at all.
Pondering the meaning of fair,
I now reside in despair.
