The longing within.....

Longing


What is this thing I hold inside
This feeling that I just can't hide
Aching deep inside my soul
Something that I can't control

Hoping that I'll find you near
Wishing for you with me here
Seeing you in every crowd
In every sigh, behind each cloud

This longing deep inside me cries
Please respond and hear my sighs
Hold me in your arms so tight
Rock me to gentle sleep tonight
