Searching for answers

A song I wrote a few years ago when I was going through a tough spiritual time.

As I lift my eyes t'ward heaven
and wonder all the while
Are you really looking down
And watching us right now

In the many hours of the day
do you really have time to hear,
All the prayers that I'm sending up
and are you really near

I'm trusting in you Lord
Though you I cant see or hear
I have faith in you Lord
that you'll keep me each day of the year.

But when I'm sad and lonely
One request please dont deny
Send the wind to whisper to me
to let me know your nearby.

And if I get to heaven
and can see your smiling face
Will I feel your presence near me
as I sing of your 'mazing grace.
