Fighting Shadows

emotional struggles..written when i was a teen

Its hard for some to see
That shadows can't be fough
No matter what I do
I can not break their thoughts.

The shadows are alone
The people never stop
They keep fighting shadows
The shadows come on top.

Its funny how they dance
And make a fool of you
The shadows never lose
No matter what you do.

But still you keep persisting
Fighting day and night
The shadows keep on winning
The never lose a fight.

Its time for you to know
Why shadows can't be fought
They do not have a brain
They do not have a thought.

I tried to fight the shadows
But now they let me be,
I stopped fighting shadows
And they just followed me.
