To those cynics out there - to those who think a poet's ego evil...
Judgments passed are not the right
Of those who cannot see
That we are who we are because
We are indeed all free.

Now this is open to remark -
A quest - I urge you to embark;
Tell me what you think inside
Tell me what it is you hide.

Because I write, is it a sin,
To feel I am above the din?
Of those who do not take the time
To reflect, then think, then create a rhyme.

Not so say I who really think
That it is you who's going to sink
Below the realm of we who are
Not scared to wish upon the star.

The star of all that's plain and true
The star that is me, the star that is you.
Step out your shell, you cowardly bore
And realize to this life there's more!
