Sometimes

A spiritual poem from the heart.

Sometimes I sit and wonder at all the days gone by
How did it all happen and all I want to know is why
How could I have gone so far away
I really never meant to I just got caught up in the play
I am not sure how or when it happened
Just know that it did and I was so saddened
I awoke knowing just what I had done
But how and why, the weight must have been a ton
If only I had known
I could have prayed and all of the weight would have been gone
My Lord he is always eager
I just have to be a believer
Believe in what you say
Believe that Jesus came into my heart to stay
He promises us never to leave
All we have to do is believe
So why is it so hard
Because we never rest in his love and we get so tard
If we would but just be still and listen
Jesus would tell us all that is missing
Of how his love it is so true
Even the lonely can’t stay blue
