A rose so delicate
So whole and so pure.
Eternally there, never dying.
Just as my love for you
Is and always shall be.

With you around
My life is complete.
To be able to hold you
As we both fall asleep.
In each other’s arms we rest with
No cares in the world.

Sometime in the night
I wake and sit up.
My hand caressing your back
Gently, slowly, comfortingly.
As I sit and look over you
My sleeping angel.

I can see us under the stars
My arms around you
As we gaze to the heavens.
A shooting star streaks the sky.
I make a wish, but what it is
Is kept to myself.

Savoring in the moment.
You in my arms.
