I can't sleep, was holding a debate in my mind. This would be one side.
Heaven is not a place
endless in resounding praise:
the goal to dwell in hymns to God,
a golden hell for him to wait
in time.

In time the punishment would grow
with resentment,
and boredom,
and hatred
of God

for centuries,
for ever.

Any reward becomes stagnant
in time;
becomes hell.

Your God is outside of time.
Your reward is God's presence.
Endless bliss implies time.
