Lost

Sometimes something is not lost but out of reach
Forever walking away along a beach
When you really want to be there on the sand
Walking along hand in hand

But time goes by and leaves you
As your friends can abandon you
Yet she continues to walk along the beach
Always staying out of reach

But no matter how fast I run
She still gets nearer to the sun
And even further away from me
And in being set free

And for some reason she cannot see
What is happening to me
And as she walks along the beach
I seemed to have lost the use of speech

So as I yell at her to turn around
She cannot hear a signal sound
Then what I really feared
My best friend started to disappear

Leaving me lost and alone
On an empty beach
Lost and alone
Alone
All alone
And completely lost
