The Giveaway Garden

This Poem is about friendship, a garden and hopes of the future

I started an extra garden this spring
Saw that I had some surplus seed
Thinking of what the seed would bring
Sowed them all to fill another’s need
My idea sprouted and took up wing
Small endeavor, a newly growing deed
Now I needed a nice family to feed
It was now only to work this thing 
Friday brought organic garden friends
Carrying news-and talk of baby trends
Seedlings, gave all the ideas I had to lend
Companion plants, compost all that I know
our talk turned to spring, setting us all aglow
Setting the seed of a friendship’s tomorrow
