a peom that talks about a child who was abused |
| Pain Broken promises of childhood safety Absence of tender loving care No protection, provisions or warmth No arms big enough to comfort her. Whimpering behind close doors A small child, forgotten and alone She doesn’t feel clean-she doesn’t care She was again molested, by yet another man. The cruel teasing in the school yard The hurt and rejection by family Is there a cure for the everlasting pain Is there a home for the lonely. God makes a home for the lonely Somewhere filled with love Where His arms are big enough to comfort And where there is no pain. Donna DeWalt July 1994 |
