The Dark Angel Screams

Darkness of a cloud covered sky
No moon to give the faintest light
Cold enough to see your breath
Makes the sweat chill on the skin

We stopped them on the road
At first they gave no fight
Waiting for you to relax ever so little
Rage in a flash flaring into the night

It’s over so soon
We still haven’t taken a breath
The steam rising from the lost
