What Children can do, and try to tell you in their own way |
| I can remember back when my mother-in-law would tell of a story of my husband when he was around five years old. She would tell us of a time when he was deathly sick and the doctor just seemed like he was not doing anything for him. She was getting really concerned because he kept running a fever and he had the most horrible bad breath. She told me that Tommy kept pointing to his nose and saying, “ Bean, mommy, Bean”. She couldn’t understand what was going on so she took him back to the doctor to have his nose checked out and to come to find out, Tommy had stuck a bean up his nose and it had sprouted. The doctor told her it would be nothing to take care of so they removed the bean, and his breath was now fresh like it was suppose to be. This story has been around our family for the past twenty-five years and Tommy hates it every time his mom tells it. I love it, I think it is cute and the way his mom tells it just makes me love him even more. |
