For you, my beautiful mother.

I'll always remember your sweet smile,
and the way your laughter brightened a room.
You were always willing to go that extra mile
to nurture us and make your family bloom.

Taken to Heaven to leave me behind,
I still feel the pain to this day.
You'll always remain in heart and mind.
Forever it's there that you'll stay.

I live on for you like you asked of me,
though I confess it isn't easy to do.
What we share burns on for eternity.
Someday I'll sit on the star beside you.

There's so much I feel I still need to say,
so much that I just can't leave behind.
