Stars


I wish upon the night stars
That maybe one day
My knight in shining armor
Will come to rescue me
Rescue me from my self
Rescue me from the fake smiles
Rescue me from the plastic
Rescue me from everybody else
The stars
Are my witness
Every single night
As they watch me
With a dimming light
They know my hope is fading
But they can only watch
Watch and stare
At what they can not help
Yea it’s true
That all I see is you
But I wish upon the stars
That one day
They might bring me closer
To what I want
Until then
They will have to bring you to me
Still I hope that
The night stars
Just sitting there
Watching me
Praying for me
Wishing for me
Will bring me
My knight in shinning armor….
