When I saw you today
I was struck by your beauty.
Unashamed of your love,
You called out to me,
Apart for barely a day,
We hugged,
Holding on for dear life.
An embrace that told us
There was nothing more to say.
I kissed your cheek.
I smelled your hair.
As my arms sent my message
Straight to your heart,
And yours to mine
Where I treasure it;
Hold it with delicate fingers,
So as not to disturb
It's features so fine.
