Self Interrogative Prose
I know who I am, that was from Jean Valjean. Stream of consciousness is what I'm after. To capture my own zeitgeist(note to self:look that one up again), lightning in a bottle...and all the while, the ghost of J.J.Connolly somewhere at my elbow, ....."What is that, Mr. Tatum? You call that prose? What is all this stuff over the margin? You call that grammar? I am underwhelmed with your skills, Mr. Tatum." Although I do remember him posting an essay I wrote about the mountains in Shane as the only "perfect" paper of the semester once. This from the man who criticized constantly. But what a great teacher and I think, a great man. This one's for you, J.J. Sorry about any misspellings or poor grammar. What am I thinking about? My intestinally imminent action. Getting through to my wife at the airport. Ok, intestines, I hear you. Auf wiedersehn for now.
