The Power of Music

Music has an influence

Music can be the most divine
When the lyrics are written to rhyme.
Not forgetting the greatest key,
By adding the rhythm and melody

The way in which the sound does flow
Seeps into the mind and soul.
The rhythm is felt all throughout
Even your heart wants to shout.

The tune you hum, the words you know
Inspiration to help us grow.
It is a language we can share
That lifts us up when in despair.

It has the power to change our mood
Make us feel kind or be so rude.
So if the song you hear is good
It makes you happy, as it should.

But when the lyrics are evil in thought
Feelings of hatred is what you've sought.
Contentions and anger is what will flare
As happiness cannot linger there.
