A centered acrostic of love
Sitting alone on a warm night,
Pondering our future.
Eternal hopes of forever,
Each day spent loving you.
Can you remember the evening,
Holding hands while you smoked,
Lakeshore Apartments,
East New Orleans,
Staying with your friends,
So we could have money to spend on each other.

Under the red moon,
Nothing to talk about,
Doing nothing except loving
Each other and hugging,
Romance is enough excitement for me.

The appartment swimming pool glittered below,
"Here are my tempting waters, come to me."
Even though we were warm, we had better ways to cool ourselves.

Memories of this humid New Orleans evening,
Overtook me today when I tried to write
Of other times; I am thankful for memories.
No other thoughts can capture me like you.
