I wrote this poem for my oldest son Lee

Baby I'm sorry I hurt you
I'm sorry your life was so hard.
Baby I'm sorry I left you
and left your heart so scarred

Lee-Lee I'm sorry I let him
raise a hand and cause you pain.
I'm sorry I didn't stop him
Sorry Mommy didn't stop the rain

I'm sorry for all the times I yelled
I was young, frustrated and scared
It wasn't that I didn't love you,
baby Mommy has always cared

I'm sorry it took so long for me
to come around and get my life straight
I'm sorry you had to go through everything
I know I should have changed your fate

I'm sorry I didn't fight harder
For you, your sister, and brother
But I swear to you from now on
that I will be a better mother

I love you more than you can imagine
I love you more than you can see
Don't let the life you had before
Change ther person I know you will be.
