    Once Upon a Happily Ever After


The laughter hushed with merging sorrows,
looming remembrance of barren morrows.

The past imposed, a shunned future revealed,
mulling over thoughts of a fruitless yield.

"The End! The End!" my revolving conclusion,
shrouding the “Happily ever after” illusion.

The silencing of love with regrets to rise,
my failings engraved in life’s reprise.



“I know, I know!” the path of  anguish
as days expire the gloom will languish.

The mulling surrenders to a ballad embraced.
The shroud of disillusion is intently displaced.

With my beloved releasing a wistful laughter,
I'll recite, "Once Upon a Happily Ever After".
