Pegasus

Oh Pegasus, great steed of flight
Child of Poseidon is your right
Zeus in his kindness has lent you to me
But for a day and part of the night

So upon your back I mount,
Deftly I touch your side with heel
The wind in my face I feel
As you carry me to the heavens on high

To the stars, moon and mars we go
Speak with angels that we see
And tour the eternal galaxie
Oh what a wonderous horse you be

Into the lords kingdom,we pass thru
And I visit with loved ones that I knew
They tell me not worry or grieve
But alas, my heart weeps when we leave

Then I awake-----tis but a dream I’ve had in my mind
Back to Olympus you have flew
I must wait another time – another dream
Then maybe some day this will all come true
