A poem for friends

For the day when you are left out
I'll let you in
For the day when others laugh at you
I'll be there to stand up for you
For the day when you laugh to hide your tears
I'll give you a shoulder to cry on
For the day when nobody seems to want you
I'll be your friend
For the day he leaves you
I'll be there to comfort you
For the day your world comes crashing down
I'll help to pick up the pieces
For the day when all goes wrong
I'll try to make things right
For the day when I need help
I'll hope you'll be there
