One More Flight

Nothing fills in the silence
Of the errupting hatred
Except the cursing shouts
Of the voices inside my head
As they roar in anger
And sarcastic annoyance
While I try to ignore the pounding of my heart
And figure out such petty misgivings
That he himself is giving me

So the last echo faded into deathly silence
And we now move our different ways
But the last comment that he gave
Was the reason why of his hurried departure
And I cursed him with what will I have left
Which flowed from my whispered mouth
And he backed away quickly
From my place I now stand

And my world turns from grim to light
Standing alone with one more flight
