Poem about peace of mind, in the Lord and coming to him for peace.
Peace of mind and soul

When writing and I find the peace,
that waits for me down deep with patience,
I pray once found I teeter not,
and lose the grand, openness it offers.
I don’t wish to escape from it, to run,
to turn my back afraid-it’s welcomed.

This hobby offers me a peace,
that previously was unfound,
analogous to slow running brook,
or deep river, quiet moving powerfully.

The peace that comes also walks,
hand in hand with Christ’s cross,
beaming white and offering much energy,
pure, bright, solid, and consistent-STRONG.

This untainted, unstainable purity holds me,
closer and yet I have the choice to walk away,
or be distracted by the things of the day,
I make the decision and partake and relish the flavor.

Strangely, this flavor is overwhelming,
in the most positive way,
so I back off, not knowing what to do with myself,
a dosage too hard to handle-yet kept at a wise distance fuels me.

I intend to master this balance of light, energy, and am careful,
Not to slip into exuberance as it exhausts,
Thanks again Lord for allowing me this exposure,
Godly sunburn always feels good, no remorse, guilt free.

I’ll visit soon, when able and less pulled in all directions,
Pray you guide me, your will be done,
I’ll let unfold your best, not mine,
And trust decisions made your love has proved.
