A Place in my Heart

You had a place in my heart,
Right from the very start.
I knew it would be great
To tempt the hand of fate.
The look in your eyes
Was such a surprise.
My heart began to melt
With the love that I felt.
Now that you are gone,
I cry each night ‘til dawn.
I miss you more than words can say,
If only you could be here one more day.
