A Picture

For a special someone who I've only just met and already have strong feelings for...

I can look at your picture

And I smile

Seeing your smile

I wonder what you were thinking

When I look over your eyes

Beautiful as they are

But only two dimensional

And I want to touch your face

Gently with my finger tips

And brush your hair away

I can look at your picture

And feel my heart waiver

Feel it weaken

And I wonder to myself

How is it so?

But you are far away

And a picture is all I have

So I will hold that picture

Hold it close

And look apon it

When I am missing you the most

When only hours have past

Since we last talked

And still

My mind doesn't grasp

What my heart seems to

When I look at that picture of you

And see the world


I know the structure is shaky, but I didn't want to take away from the meaning, the emotion. The message is whats important to me in this piece.
