Judgement Day

An amusing prose about our injustice of justice

Appearing before the Judge
who leered at me from above
the only reply he wanted from me
was a "guilty" or "not guilty" plea
"Innocent" I stated instead
"Unacceptable" said the Bench with a Head
replacing my right to remain silent
with a rule to keep my mouth shut
defending my rights disobeying
despite threats of contempt
from a Bench with a Head
got me 30 days on a chain with a gang
eating just beans, water and bread
