A short poem written by a broken-hearted... |
| Inside a broken heart, darkness takes the place Beyond all the suff'rings, uncov'ring my ways. The mere smiles and laughter unveiling disgrace A burden I will bear for all of my days. Inside a broken heart, there's no greater gift The light of his smile, my spirit may he lift Pondering on the memories full of grief As my jaded heart then whispers, "only if..." Inside a broken heart, I ne'er would've guessed With him in my life, how greatly I am blessed. Sacrificing to faithfully pass the test I might capture his heart among all the rest. Inside a broken heart, resting in disdain While continuing on routing the wrong lane His trust, I'm certain, I ne'er again will gain Inside my broken heart, fore'er he'll remain. |
