SNAP - how does it feel

SNAP!
The crack of the whip on a blistered back,
Blood oozes, a warm, moist sap,
Pain lurches, shudders a ripple through a haggard carcass,
A face warps with torment,
Eyes raise to anticipated onlookers,
Fear mirrors in those watery pupils,
A voice calls, but the words are vague to those ringing ears,
SNAP!
It strikes afresh,
New blood gushes,
New pain lurches,
New torment hits,
New fear shrieks,
New tears flow,
A new slave is sold.
