The questioning of a political agenda of a soldier.
They Lurk In The Television

Novel By: Arbiter2893

Prologue: Holding Out

An explosion pulled overhead. Another. More artillery screamed overhead. I looked in the distance unable to see beyond the horizon which had so violently changed.
"Private get your ass out of there unless you want it blown off!" a distant voice yelled. I didn't hesitate. Sprinting out of the bunker fast, I looked around for my squad. They had all pulled out. The icy hot tingled around my face, and i began to feel weak. I hadn't realized it at the time, but my face was pale and flushed. Before I knew it, i crumpled onto the hard, uninviting sand. A round tore through my neck.
