Dreaming with the shelter, moving with the storm
A better day of sickness prays, waiting to be born
Gathered up in falling sides, smothering the few
Breathing in the ashes, tethering the new

Anything that kills, anything you'd give
Everything we ever were, anything to live
Memory betrays the truth, being what it is
Hanging on to strands of light, scared of what it is

In dying light where shadows grow
A hopeless soul can't hear the sound
Gripping on to one thin hope though he doesn't know
The hatred holds, not letting go, keeping him firmly on the ground
