Take Down

To those who refuse to give up.

You think you can take me down
Stack my stress and I shall drown
Make me think that I have won
Gaining nothing when you're done
Giving me false hope and joy
Thinking I am just some toy
Happiness and love I seem to gain
You just turn it around to hurt and pain
I cried to the heavens so many times
I begin to think that I'm a crime
I don't ask for much in my life
Instead you give a relentless strife
Time and time again you do this to me
But I am still standing can't you see
You continue on with your foolish games
Now I won't fall, who's to blame
I have been hurt, forsaken, and burned
Over coming them, haven't you learned
You've knocked me down again and again
Now this time around I know I will win
No matter what is thrown at me in the future to come
I shall always rise from the ashes when fate is done
