Crypt-ic view of acceptance.

They exhumed him today,
rotting, maggot matter
with more hair on his head
than he had ever.
Who was he fooling?

Unadorned, no wristwatch
to spare him any more time,
he was buried with a jacket
that could have purpose again,
if given to the dry cleaners.

He arose, above their eyes,
there on the examining table.
They pushed him back down,
not finished picking at his
grey, corpulent flesh.

They buried him again.
They had what they needed;
no time to press his shirt,
he didn't need to look good.
He was dead, anyway.
