Lingering Doubt

How I felt right after one of my relationships ended.

Tears I've cried for you,
A thing I said I would never do.
And here alone again,
I find I am my only friend.

I'm lost without your touch,
In my heart it meant so much.
The pain is hard to bare,
You no longer show you care.

Going out within a crowd,
Feeling lonely and never proud.
Alcohol to hide my shame,
Words come out its you I blame.

Your friends say I should have known,
You'll never change and this you've shown.
They know you better then I ever could,
I still doubt them but I knew I would.
