I short poem about a wish

I wish, I wish, I wish,
For something good to happen today.
I wish for peace and love for all mankind.

I wish we’d stop all the killing, and hatred---
Stop and look at what our action is doing
To the world; our beautiful world.

I wish we’d see that for every negative action
There is an equal but opposite reaction---
And know that only positive actions
Will return a positive reaction.

I wish we’d look and see ourselves in others
And know that we are all brothers and sister,
Mothers and daughters, fathers and sons, aunts and uncles.

I wish we’d look at each other and see love---
And know that love is the only miracle that can cure all.
I wish, I wish, I wish,
For something good to happen today.
