Washed Away

Just feelings and thoughts I needed to get out.

i walk in the sand along the beach
trying to clear my mind
doing all possible to forget the life i'm in at the moment
watching as the sand separates with every step i take
water draining from the sand in my footsteps
my trace in time quickly disappearing
like my footprints being washed away by waves
so many doubts in my mind haunt me
you say i'm not alone
but everytime i look back at the footprints
i only see one washed away trail
