I wish I never met you,
then I wouldn't feel this way.
My heart wouldn't ache,
and I would not have shed these tears.
Thoughts of what we could be
would not be keeping me awake.
Now that I know you,
I haven't been able to think of
anything else.
If you said you liked me,
it would still not change anything.
I would still leave,
my heart would still ache,
and these tears would still come.
I still would not have learned.
